NAGPS South Central Conference
The National Association of Graduate-Professional Students (NAGPS) is a student-run national, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of graduate & professional students across the United States. Founded by student leaders in 1987, NAGPS is the only national organization that represents the interests of graduate & professional students in public and private universities at local, state, regional and national levels.
Mizzou GPC is a legacy member of NAGPS, and is a part of the NAGPS SouthCentral region. This April 2018, GPC will host the SouthCentral Regional Conference. At this conference, student leaders from the SouthCentral region will be able to discuss topics important to graduate & professional students. We encourage attendees to participate by leading a discussion on either (or both) of the following topics: (1) How to overcome challenges surrounding student advocacy in a hierarchical, bureaucratic institution, and (2) How to organize, maintain, and/or run your student organization in order to meet the needs of your constituency.
